Highlands Property Management is a commercial and investment property management company based in Northeast Tennessee. We manage over 250,000 square feet of commercial, mixed-use, retail, office, and residential real estate across the Tri-Cities region and surrounding markets.
We were founded by Jennifer and Chris Hyder — lifelong residents of the Appalachian Highlands and active commercial real estate owners with more than 20 years of ownership, management, and investment experience in this market.
We didn't start as a management company that grew into ownership. We started as owners who built a management operation to run our own portfolio — and opened it to other investors who wanted the same standard applied to theirs.

Chris Hyder, CPA, is Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor of Highlands Property Management and Chief Financial Officer of Summers-Taylor, Inc. A lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities region and graduate of East Tennessee State University, Chris brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate ownership and management experience and more than two decades of executive leadership to the company.

Patrick Hyder
Property Operations Coordinator
Patrick Hyder brings property management, operations, and building systems experience to Highlands. He studied Construction Science and Management at the University of Tennessee and spent several years working in the HVAC industry across both the Atlanta and Tri-Cities markets, developing expertise in building systems, maintenance operations, and project coordination.
